IT 'S CINEMA! OMERTA, THE NEW ALBUM BY J BALVIN AND RYAN CASTRO, NOW HAS A RELEASE DATE

Is it an album? Is it a film? A short movie? In the end, OMERTA can be many things—but what truly matters is what it stands for: family comes first, silence and loyalty are priceless, and codes are never broken.

We’ve just announced our new collaborative album with “el Awoo” himself, Ryan Castro, titled OMERTA. It’s a project we’ve been building for a while, revealing it piece by piece, image by image, video by video, so you can fully understand what it’s all about. You’ll be able to experience it in its entirety on May 7, the day of its official release.

We’re beyond excited to have -in our intro video- the participation of Colombian icon and pride Sofía Vergara, as well as the incredibly talented Marlon Moreno, who couldn’t be more perfect for this role. Our brother Eladio shows his most gangster side, and of course, the boss herself, Valentina Ferrer. All seated at the same table, symbolizing unity, loyalty, and family. Did you notice the table? Its symbol has been everywhere—literally everywhere.

With this project, we’re delivering 10 tracks that perfectly represent the union of two worlds: Ryan Castro and J Balvin, all in on music they’ve meticulously crafted to explore each other’s range and nuances. Beyond the music, the creative vision behind this project brings cinema into the visuals, blending it with the urban genre. Tonto and Pal Agua—and soon Una a la Vez—have been aesthetically shaped and influenced by iconic titles like Scarface, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, as well as the legendary gangster-musical universe of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, in videos like You Rock My World and Smooth Criminal.

We also have animated characters: our femme fatale “Alba” and the Coyoteones, who bring a freer, more playful edge to this world, while also playing a key role in the story as it unfolds.
